Crystal clear waters was among one of the first things that I noticed upon exiting Male’s airport terminal. If this was what the water at the airport looked like, then boy were we in for a treat. After being greeted by Adaraan’s staff members at the airport, we were ready for our short speedboat trip to a place that I now call paradise.
Adaaran Prestige Vadoo’s resort exceeded all expectations that we had. Upon our arrival we were welcomed with some welcome drinks and were introduced to our butler, Vaishak. He made sure our trip was as memorable as could be from setting up our breakfast on our deck to providing us with canapes at sunset.
The views from our sunset water villa were just breathtaking. The layout of the water villa was very well designed with the most amazing ocean views, even from the bathtub. The plunge pool on the deck was the spot where we spent most of our time, as it was just at the right depth to sit and cool down while enjoying a sun downer and beautiful ocean while watching the fish swim by.
The resort provided us with snorkelling gear and this would be one activity not to miss out on, as the corals in front of the beach bar was definitely worthwhile with a vast variety of different fish ranging from trigger fish to the odd sea cumber.
I would highly recommend to go with the resorts all-inclusive package as your trip might be very costly otherwise. Although there are a lot of resorts where all-inclusive usually means quantity and not quality, this is not one of them. The quality and presentation of the food at the restaurants was way beyond my expectations. With 3-4 course menu’s with every meal, needless to say we did not go hungry. The resort also offered a wide variety of cocktails and this lead me to at least try almost every cocktail they had to offer over our period of stay. The Pina Colada’s and passion dry would be highly recommended.
The resort is definitely a place that I would recommend for someone that is in need for a quiet break, that would include a lot of sun bathing, snorkelling or just catching up with a good book, while being spoilt with great service as well as amazing food and drinks.
Maldives is one of the places that I would highly recommend to visit for a picturesque relaxing stay and if it is not yet on your bucket list what are you waiting for?
